Looking to gain a new qualification? Check with the FHT first!

The start of a new year can be a great time to jump into something new. Perhaps you’ve been considering incorporating a new therapy into your practice or developing your knowledge of a treatment. Maybe you’ve even spotted the perfect course and you’re eager to get it booked right away!

If you are looking to book onto a new course and you have your insurance with the FHT, it is important that you contact us beforehand – even if the course is one you’ve seen advertised on our social platforms or in our International Therapist magazine.

It may be that for the FHT to insure a therapy or qualification, prerequisites apply, such as prior referral from a GP. In a worst-case scenario, we may not be able to accept a qualification for insurance purposes.

If you are an FHT Member, but do not take out insurance with the FHT, it is still important that you contact your insurance provider to check – even if a course is accredited by the FHT.

Though rare, it may be that certain insurance companies are unable to insure a particular course. Checking beforehand allows for complete transparency and helps you avoid any nasty surprises.
