We are delighted that Jennifer Young, MFHT, will be joining us as a speaker at the 2018 FHT Conference in November.
Jennifer has a BSc (Hons) in Biology and is an experienced microbiologist, nutritional therapist, aromatherapist, beauty therapist and product formulator. She is the creator of Defiant Beauty, specialist skincare for those affected by cancer, founder of Beauty Despite Cancer, and author of Recognise Yourself, a beauty and wellbeing guide for those affected by cancer.
In 2017, Jennifer was approached by Guy’s Cancer centre, one of the UK’s leading providers of care and treatment for people with cancer, to collaborate with a wig salon, headwear brand and lingerie company to provide all of the appearance and well-being services that a cancer patient could need within the same space.
A previous contributor to International Therapist, Jennifer is well-known to FHT members, as an FHT Accredited training provider, running sold-out FHT Hosted Courses and speaking at this year’s Training Congress. In May this year, she addressed FHT Training Congress delegates on two informative topics, ‘marketing yourself to vulnerable clients’ and ‘communicating with medical professionals.’
At the FHT Conference, Jennifer will be talking about the impact of cancer on wellbeing, including its effects on the hair, nails and skin, as well as her pioneering therapy work to help clients live with and beyond cancer.
