We are pleased that Dr Michael Dixon will be a speaker at the 2018 FHT Conference in November.
An influential figure in healthcare, Dr Dixon is a GP, Chairman of the College of Medicine, a visiting professor at University College London and the University of Westminster, and an appointed government adviser on GP commissioning.
Dr Dixon is the national clinical lead for social prescribing (NHS England), and has been offering primary care patients support in the community for many years from his practice in Devon. He is a strong advocate of preventative medicine, healthy living and integrated healthcare, supporting lifestyle interventions and complementary and traditional approaches.
In his talk at the FHT Conference, Dr Dixon will provide an overview of the current health and social care landscape, and discuss the different challenges and opportunities this presents for the successful integration of complementary therapies into mainstream care.
