The British Government has launched a review, led by Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, to look into the duty of care sport has towards participants.
The review aims to ‘develop a comprehensive plan for how government and the whole sporting system can more effectively look after people who take part in grassroots sport and people who perform at the elite level, including those on a talent pathway.’
The review team are currently calling for information from people involved in sport and from members of the public, with a view of evaluating and improving current systems.
Areas of interest include the prevention of serious injuries, mental health support, safeguarding young people and adults, and support provided to people on talent pathways.
