FHT receives national recognition of its commitment to members

Selected as just one of five finalists, the FHT has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Membership Engagement’ category which acknowledges outstanding commitment to members. Competition is incredibly strong for these significant business awards, with other finalists in the same category including the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and the Law Society of Scotland.

Karen Young, communications manager here at FHT explains:

Karen Young“We are incredibly proud to be shortlisted for this really hard-fought award category and to be raising the profile of the beauty and complementary therapy industries across such an impressive background of peers and competing associations. Strong communication skills and a focus on listening, not just talking, is a crucial part of giving our members the support they need. Our investment in great systems and good people has clearly paid dividends and we are really thrilled our efforts have been acknowledged by a professional and experienced panel of industry experts.”

The awards, which will be held at the Hilton London Bankside on Friday 26th February 2016, specifically evaluate and measure the success and relevance of professional associations and membership organisations, ensuring that members are at the heart of everything. The FHT was assessed on its 2015 activities, including communications to members, and representation of members nationally and internationally.
