Congratulations to Alan Lawrence for winning our International Therapist winter 2025/26 spiral competition. He won a 15ml bottle of Equaa Skincare’s Volta Radiance and a £20 National Book Token.
Alan has always been fascinated by alternative therapies and had many experiences while struggling with his own health, so after spending 40 years working in the motor trade, he decided to have a complete change of direction and started studying Swedish massage. He qualified at Weymouth college in 2016 and immediately found employment at a local wellness centre, which was lost to Covid. He worked at Neal’s Yard for a couple of years and then decided to go self employed, practicing at therapy rooms in Dorchester Yoga Centre and Baby Birds Weymouth.
“Massage has given me more freedom for my passion of following Manchester City every week, all over the world, while helping my own mental health,’” Alan says, “I love that I found a gift to help others.”
