Congratulations to Neil Boocock for winning our International Therapist autumn competition! He won Friendly Soap’s Tranquil Spa Hamper, consisting of nine natural soap bars, a pumice foot stone, a bamboo and sisal nail brush, a bamboo soap rack, a waffle cotton cloth, and five face cleansing pads.
“I was first introduced to complementary therapies in the 1980’s when practitioners came to my workplace to talk about and demonstrate what they did. Over the years, I have trained in a variety of holistic therapies, turning this passion into a full-time profession in 2016 alongside my partner, Jean. Together, we became Jeaneil Holistic Therapists, working as mobile practitioners across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, and delivering group sound baths throughout the East Midlands.
I particularly enjoy reading the informative articles in the FHT Magazine, which helps me to expand my knowledge. I also value the competitions and puzzles, which support my ongoing learning, keep my anatomy and physiology knowledge up to date, and contribute towards my CPD (Continuing Professional Development) points.”
Neil and Jean offer crystal and sound workshops and talks, as well as sessions focused on managing stress and anxiety. Their work has produced positive outcomes with a wide range of groups, including those living with Parkinson’s disease, autistic schools, individuals with fibromyalgia and dementia, and anxiety support groups. They have collaborated with yoga instructors to combine yoga and sound therapy and are always open to working in partnership with other practitioners and community groups.
