Member’s Spotlight: Sean Elder

Join us as we celebrate the success and achievements of FHT Member Sean Elder

______

Sean’s journey into therapy began over 25 years ago, rooted in the values he still holds today — hard work, care, and a quiet determination to make a meaningful difference. From his early days as a registered nurse, and through years of working in cancer care, private healthcare, and high-performance environments such as Formula 1, he has always been drawn to spaces where people need more than just technical skill — they need presence.

In 2020, he began his therapy business just outside St Andrews, Fife, building the practice from the ground up. What began as a solo venture in a modest studio has grown into a thriving service, now supporting over 700 clients across two treatment spaces. Yet, his focus remains unchanged — to help people move better, feel better, and live better.

His approach blends clinical knowledge with hands-on, purpose-driven therapies including soft tissue work, movement therapy, Science of Stretching™, and yoga-based practices. CPD is at the heart of his work — not just to meet requirements, but as an ongoing commitment to the craft. He invests consistently in his own development, ensuring the therapies his offers are always evolving.

Mentorship is also a core part of Sean Elder Therapies. He is proud to have welcomed Kat, a Sports Massage Therapist and Personal Trainer, and taken her under his wing. Supporting Kat as she completed an FHT accredited CPD course has been one of the most fulfilling aspects of his role. Helping practitioners grow with skill, purpose, and confidence is as important to me as serving the clients who trust us.

At its core, Sean Elder Therapies is purpose-driven. Every session, every decision, is guided by care, integrity, and connection.
