The World Health Organisation (WHO) has recently published a book with a series of reports on young people’s health.
The book entitled, ‘Growing up unequal: gender and socioeconomic differences in young people’s health and well-being. Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) study: international report from the 2013/2014 survey’, compares children at ages 11, 13 and 15 across 41 European countries on a wide range of health-related issues.
The areas covered in the reports include relationships (family, school and peers), health behaviour (eating, physical activity, brushing teeth), health outcomes (injuries, obesity and mental health) and risk behaviours (smoking, alcohol, fighting and bullying).
