A recent study, commissioned by a Harley Street clinic, has found that women spend 474 days applying make-up in their lifetime (3 hours and 19 minutes per week).
On average the women in the survey admitted taking 14.5 minutes on their weekday make-up routine, 24 minutes on a Saturday or Sunday, and just over once a week would spend 76 minutes getting ready for a big night out.
The most time consuming part of a woman’s make-up routine was the eye area as applying mascara, eyeliner, eye shadow and grooming the eyebrows would take 17 minutes alone when preparing for a night out, nearly 25 per cent of their total time spent.
Their recommendation, and the increasing trend, for semi-permanent make-up is intended to reduce this time significantly.
