An article by Professor George Lewith in today’s Guardian newspaper, refers to the publication of a report by CAMbrella, an EU-funded project looking at the provision and use of CAM in Europe. It calls on the need for more research into the use of complementary medicine.
“CAMbrella suggests we should focus research on the most prevalent CAM treatments and their contribution to addressing the most common, disabling, chronic and costly conditions. Research methods must reflect the real-world settings of healthcare in Europe. In order to achieve these objectives, an EU research office for CAM should be established.”
Professor George Lewith will be appearing in our ‘On the couch…’ feature in the January issue of International Therapist.
