How much sun is too much sun?
We all know that we need the vitamin D the sun provides, but we also know that over exposure and excessive tanning can put us at risk of skin cancer. But do you know how much sun is too much for your skin?
A new study has launched at the University of Manchester to examine the effects of ultraviolet (UV) rays and vitamin D together, to determine the correct exposure for each type of skin. Professor Lesley Rhodes, the study’s lead reseracher at the University of Manchester, has stated that the study will look at both the risks and benfits of being in the sun, and will focus on a variety of skin types in order to make people more aware of what levels of sun are healthy for their skin/complexions.
