These awards honour FHT members who go above and beyond, showcasing their dedication to professional growth, high standards in therapy and commitment to enhancing the health and wellbeing of their clients.
We’re excited to announce that the FHT Lifetime Achievement Award 2024 goes to:
Carol was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for her exceptional 30-year journey in complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), marked by transformative contributions and lifelong dedication. Driven initially by a desire to help her son, she went on to earn the world’s first PhD in Reflexology and Pain Management, all without a traditional academic background. Carol has educated hundreds of students, shared her expertise globally, and built connections between CAM and conventional medicine. Even at 68, she remains deeply committed to advancing CAM through research and adapting to new challenges, including online teaching during COVID-19. Her inspiring journey from school leaver to respected expert exemplifies her unwavering passion and lasting impact on the therapy world.
