As part of new Level 2 and Level 3 reforms for post-16 qualifications, the Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education (IfATE) has pre-defined several occupations and associated duties for the Level 3 additional specialist category.
The specialist areas include:
- Electrolysis
- Therapeutic Massage (Thai and Swedish)
If you have experience in any of these fields, or the Hair and Beauty sector, the institute would love to hear from you through their ongoing survey to help review the criteria.
Caroline Larissey, newly appointed FHT Vice President, says: “It is hugely important that there are specialist pathways to ensure that learners have the opportunity and progression routes to work within the breadth of our sector.”
