Mary Atkinson, FFHT, supports terminally ill in Channel 4 series, My Last Summer

FHT Fellow Mary Atkinson was chosen to provide massage for five terminally ill people taking part in a short series currently being televised on Channel 4, called My Last Summer. Both the FHT and Mary were pleased that the production company recognised the benefits that complementary therapy and the therapeutic relationship can bring to those nearing the end of life. Although Mary’s work does not appear on the ‘final cut’ she received a hand-written note from the film crew who said that gentle touch therapy had given great comfort to the participants during such a difficult time. We would like to thank Mary for the wonderful support she provided.
