Many of our members have gone above and beyond to support their clients during the pandemic. With the third lockdown in full-swing, lots of people are struggling to achieve the government’s recommended exercise quota of 150 minutes of moderate intensity activity each week.
We all know that the benefits of moving our bodies are endless, so we wanted to share some free resources with you to encourage your clients to keep moving and stay positive.
The NHS have a strength and flexibility plan and online workout platform which are easily accessible online. If your client doesn’t have access to the internet, a nice idea might be to print off the strength and flexibility plan and send it to them, along with a supportive message.
Amazon Prime and Netflix shows
With the rise of online workouts such as Joe Wickes’ P.E. sessions, Netflix and Amazon prime have launched a series of free workout sessions. From Yoga and Zumba to intense full-body workouts, all your client needs to do is hit the search bar and look for the workout that best suits them.
YouTube is a fantastic platform for accessing an range of free workout videos. Tune in to the popular Joe Wickes at The Body Coach TV or simply search for a video that takes your fancy by using the search bar at the top of the page.
No access to a computer?
We realise that not everybody has access to the internet. Alternatively, you could encourage your clients to take on a challenge such as the 6.5 challenge for Carers UK.
There are so many different ways to inspire and motivate those around us, if you have tried or shared any of these workouts, please let us know by emailing Leanne Sheill, Deputy Editor, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
