April is Stress Awareness Month, so FHT is helping members spread the word about how therapies can support the public.
According to the 2020 FHT Members’ Survey, 82% of our members regularly treat clients with stress and/or anxiety. Promoting Stress Awareness Month is a fantastic way to get the word out to both current and prospective clients about how you can help them combat stress.
To help spread the word, you can:
- Reach out to your clients and local businesses, offering a discount of your choice, or introduce an exercise during your appointments that promotes mindfulness – a useful tool to de-stress.
- Get together with other FHT members from your local group to organise an event where taster treatments and mindfulness exercises are available. You might want to consider donating all or a portion of the proceeds raised to a local charity or worthy cause – it is likely whoever you are supporting will help to promote the event in return, which means more people to treat!
- Stress Awareness Month is a great opportunity to help your clients de-stress, but it’s a reminder to take time for yourself too. Unwind by doing your favourite activity, whether it’s reading a book, going on a hike or cooking your favourite meal. Or, why not do a treatment swap with another member in your area?
Planning on holding an event? Please be sure to send in a write-up afterwards, as well as high-resolution photos, so that we can give you a mention in International Therapist and on our website!
